After a few hiccups at the beginning we had a great time traveling down the Oregon coast. We headed out last Saturday after Max's t-ball game. Drove down to Cannon beach, didn't find a motel. So we went to Mazatlan, didn't find a room there either. We ended up in Rockaway. They had a small kite festival there. It worked out. The motel didn't have a pool, but the weather was warm so the kids had a good time playing in the ocean. Can't get any better than that! On our way back home we went to Tillamook and got ourselved some ice cream, then went back up to Cannon beach to take a look at the tide pools. In astoria we went to check out the Column, but it was closed for repairs. The trip ended well. Can't wait for Long beach in July!

Your pictures of the beach make me home sick. There is no coast more beautiful than the Oregon coast. I hope that rock you and the kids were on was not too high, the picture makes it look rather cliff like. I sure miss you all. love Mom
