A night away...

Lake Quinault Lodge.Bob and the largest Spruce in the world.Having a glass of wine before dinner.

Kayaking, Bob doing all the work. I loved this spot. It was totally autumn.
This creek was our destination, three miles in.
Bob and I decided a couple of weeks ago to visit Lake Quinault Lodge in Quinault, WA. I had never heard of it before and Bob had seen it featured on TV awhile back. We got there Saturday evening. It totally exceeded my expectations! It was beautiful! A part of heaven on earth. We got to our room and couldn't believe the view we saw. It was a masterpiece outside our huge windows. We got dressed for dinner, had a few drinks on the green and took some pictures. Dinner was faboulous. It was like an experience, it took two hours! We both had the cedar plank salmon. We then took our drinks to the grand room and sat by the awesome fireplace. We met this great couple from Texas :) The next morning we had breakfast in the same dining room but this time we had a window seat. I had the sweet potato pankcakes with Hazelnut butter and Bob had a very meaty omlet. yummy! We then went on a hike, six miles worth! Took some great pictures and then went back to the lodge and rented a kayak. We had so much fun! I tell you, I wasn't very good at steering and Bob did a lot of the rowing. A good man. :) We WILL visit here again. The view from our room. The welcoming fireplace and leather couches.
